I participate at NMUN because in a complex world like we have today I find it highly important and interesting to dispute about current economical, political and social issues of the world. For me, MUN offers the ideal platform to discuss about these globalized issues. Furthermore, I also hope to get an insight of the UN with all its duties and its procedures and to get a taste of the complexity of international issues and relationships.

I participate at NMUN because I believe that in a fast moving and global world, problems only can be solved in global negotiations. I can see no sense in trying to stop for example global warming on a national level, while other nations have no incentives for doing it as well. Therefore, we need to have a forum for all nations of our earth in which even small nations get the opportunity to participate in negotiations. I want to get an impression of the UN’s work and I hope that this impression will be consistent with my image of the UN. I see the NMUN as a great chance where people can broaden their minds and get a different perspective for the consequences and coherences of their acting.

I participate at NMUN because I’m interested in global politics, especially economical topics. By participating in the FSMUN-initiative I want to improve my understanding of the close ties of modern countries and how they can affect national affairs. I also believe that discussing a variety of topics with such a diverse group of people is very interesting and will help me to gain insight to current affairs from a different point of view and think critically. Apart from that, I believe that the UNO is a great institution to ensure peace and especially to give a stage for problems of smaller countries, which might be too unimportant or undeveloped to be able to communicate their matters on their own.
